While TIFF brings Hollywood’s best and brightest to our fair city, what’s a local actor to do? “We’ve heard from a lot of actors that TIFF is the biggest thing for them,” says Andre Newell. The glitz, glamour and top notch talent on display can be a real inspiration. “They just want to get on stage and perform.”

Newell and his cousin Oluniké Adeliyi think they have just the solution. For the past year, the pair have played host to the Toronto Monologue Slam!, a juried monthly competition for actors that doubles as the local scene’s gathering place. Read Full Story
